Concept Car V1.0
One of the most complicated Solidworks projects I've undertaken is a functional concept sports car. I first began this project in 2013 while teaching myself surfacing. Currently, the model has a functional engine and steering system. Using several different types of advanced mates, I was able to create the effect of the crankshaft being turned by the motion of twelve pistons. The body was designed aerodynamically, and vents in the front are designed to channel airflow to the rear of the vehicle. In the future, my goal is to create an accurate transmission and connect all four wheels to it using several universal joints and drive shafts.
